Karen Burke joined O’Toole, Rothwell, Nassau & Steinbach in 2006. Ms. Burke has been practicing law for over 20 years and has devoted herself to the practice of immigration law since 2004. She has represented individuals and corporations with respect to obtaining temporary and permanent employment-based visas for their foreign national employees. She also has developed expertise in removability, inadmissibility, citizenship and the immigration consequences of criminal convictions, as well as federal court litigation aimed at forcing the USCIS to adjudicate petitions and applications. After clerking for Judge Wagner at the DC Court of Appeals, Ms. Burke worked for several major law firms in Washington DC. Ms. Burke has conducted numerous trainings, including training for companies in maintaining compliance with immigration law. Ms. Burke has extensive experience with academic and non-profit institutions both as an attorney and as an artist/educator.
